Instructions:
ALWAYS THOROUGHLY READ THE PRODUCT PACKAGING BEFORE USE.
- Before use, ensure all equipment is sanitized and sterile, preferably through immersion in a sterilizing solution.
- Prepare the milk replacer following the specified instructions and allow it to cool to lukewarm (38°C or blood temperature).
- Create an opening at the top of the teat by puncturing it with a thick needle or by cutting a small section off the top with scissors. Exercise caution: an excessively large opening may lead to gagging.
- Fill the bottle with an appropriate amount of the prepared milk replacer and ensure it is securely closed. (For Beaphar Lactol users, please consult the feeding guidelines provided on the packaging.)
- Carefully place the teat into the animal's mouth, and release a few drops into the cheek to encourage swallowing. AVOID EXCESSIVE SQUEEZING to prevent forcing liquid into the lungs.
- Prevent young animals from chewing on the teat. If an animal begins to chew instead of suckling, it indicates the end of feeding, and the bottle should be removed.
- After each use, meticulously clean the bottle and rubber teat. If using dishwashing liquid for cleaning, ensure it is thoroughly rinsed off afterward.
Be prepared to repeat this every 2–3 hours until the animal is strong enough to feed from a bottle.
